Is it just me or has the show gone downhill? They have all these "tasks" or "challenges" or whatever to make it more like Survivor or whatnot, whereas before, I was under the impression that they'd get dumped off and have to make their way to various milestones and get to a final destination.

Either way, I still wanna be in it. I think I'd kick ass on it. And everyone I know says they'd want me to be their partner - 'cept I don't want 'em to be mine. I'd be one of those assholes, like the guys in the couples who yell at their girlfriend/wife to suck it up and try harder. I would be such a taskmaster. "What!? What do you mean you didn't bother to learn French before we started this!? FUck you! Do I have to do all the talking??"

On another topic altogether, I applied for the next 5 Takes but haven't heard back... *sigh*

It's this so-so show on the Travel Channel. Not great, but I'd love to BE on it. Basically, they give 5 wannabe traveler journos $50 a day at various destinations and see how they get by on it, and film it all in the process.

Yeah 5 Takes isn't particularly amazing to watch, but it would be great to be on it!

When I was working in Sydney, my company handled getting those 5 their US visas. I got to sit in on a conference call with all the Discovery Channel producers; fun times! Too bad I had to be professional and couldn't put in a plug for myself to get on the show.
