Good things to know when traveling:
-Your student card/ID. Even if youīve graduated (like myself), take it along because it will save on lots of museum fees etc!!
-The busses are not always cheaper... compare prices.
-Check the hostal beds/rooms first. Met some irish gals who didnīt, and wound up with bed bugs the next morning.
-Room prices are sometimes negotiable. Try it, suggesting high recommendations in guide books, or how the word is being spread back home among friends etc...
-If traveling on a budget, hit up the market!! Buy some olive oils, cheeses (if have a refrid. somewhere), tomatoes, and a knife and plastic plates (easier to pack), and steal napkins from a cafe. Saves sooo much on food!!
-Again... with the pareo as a towel (there are masculine ones, I promise). They are a helluva a lot larger than towels, but pack so much smaller, and dry a ton quicker. Overall, great peice of travel equipment.
Ok.. thatīs about it for right now. Iīll keep yall posted if I think of anything else.

Also, if u miss a bus or train or something, don't sweat it, just go with the flow - "unplanned detours" are all part of the adventure & fun!

Right on with the travel tips folks!
Youīre right about the student card. I, too, am not a student, but brought my ISIC card and got dicounts at museums, castles, and such...
The scars of 7 or 8 bites in row that formed a crescent shape on top of my left foot and in various spots on my lower legs have finally faded after 2 years. I was awarded these bites at a dumpy motel in Mazatlan, because I didnīt lift up the bed spread to inspect within the sheets first. Gotta check, guys!
buying food does save you cash! I had a roomate in Madrid that traveled 42 days on $600 Euros! From London down to Croatia. The only places he splurged was in Eastern Europe because it was dirt cheap! He stayed 7 nights as a hostel in Bratislava, Slovakia for $20. Talked them down from $35! Flash cash! Also shared an apt for a couple of months with a couple from Slovakia and they said that the average income was $300 a month. As a tourist you can eat, drink, and sleep like a king for dirt cheap! They almost talked me into staying with them as long as I wanted and while I was there, I can do the LASIK eye operation on both eyes for $200! State of the art equiptment. The girl had it done and raved about it. Good bye contact lenses (of 15yrs!) !
Amen about the "unplanned detours!" Thatīs the attitude that you MUST have to maximize your trip!
I did a google image check on pareoīs and I didnīt see anything masculine...enough but I did see a lot of chicks! Hereīs a pareo for everyone !
Thanks for the tips yīall! Weīd appreciate the updates too, Sherp!
PS. how do you guys put pictures up like that?! Itīs cool! Iīll spend some time tomorrow figuring that out! Good night all !

I dunno but guys in sarongs don't do it for me. Sorry but I want a MAN, not a guy in a sarong. Just doesn't turn me on at all.

Nice avatar Dio!
I would have to agree with you about those not looking manly enough.
I'm liking some of the designs Sherp, but having a hard time picturing myself wearing one . I'll have to get back to ya on that
Let us know how Valencia is treating you when you get a chance ! I hear ya about the MEditerranean! Wish I was there

hey i don't mind a guy who's in touch with his feminine side. put it with a nice shirt, and you've got yourself some economical (and funky) leisure wear.
