On my last trip to China I had to bring my laptop to do some work while I was there. I went to a hot spot in China and started chatting with friends back home. Then it hit me, I forgot all about the voice connection free through MSN and AOL. When I got back I did some extensive research into this technology and found a ton of services online that allow you to use your computer to call home for no per minute fees. Now this is not just computer to computer. You are actually able to ring a land line or a cell phone with a awsome signal. The best ones have a tiny monthly fee witch I find worth paying my self. I am not to sure if any of you carry a laptop with you over seas, but after using calling cards for ever. I found this solution can save you a ton of money and is easy to use and worth the 4Lb laptop to be put in the pack.
