man, i don't think i made it to this computer fast enough!
I've been reading sooooo much recently, trying to prepare for my trip. So much, infact, that it's starting to monopolize my dreams. Don't know if i was semi-asleep or just plain out... but I came up with 2 questions that mustve woken me up so I could hurry and ask before I forgot.
But of course, remembering dreams (especially questions you ask in your dreams) takes 100% focus in order to not forget. Kinda like that movie Memento.
I remember 1, but the other...man that escaped me somewhere around the landing of the staircase. heck, if it even made it that far. I dont remember anything before brushing my teeth.
Hmmm... come back come back.
Well 1 was about the student card (isic?) and how they go about checking it. I'm not in school anymore, what if i were to get a friend of mine to order the card and use theirs? Do they ask for your passport along with the ID... do they check the names to make sure theyre the same? Sure getting a cheapo plane ticket would be next to impossible because they have to do the whole name thing, but like getting into some tourist attraction. Are they gonna even bother, or just see the card and let me go?
OOOH! got the other. Wow, i zoned out there for like 5 mins.
Ok, I think i might have my trip scheduled too early. But the plane ticket is already purchased... so there's nothing i can do. I leave March 16th... staying until June 1st. For instance, bull-fighting in spain starts in April... i'll be out of spain by april 1st or so... so i'll miss it. Is there alot of stuff i'm gonna miss because i'm going a little off season?
I reeeally havent found anything written by anyone that says they'll be there or have been there as early as I'm planning... am i gonna arrive to empty hostels and be totally on my own the majority of the time? I'm sure there'll be some people... but like i said, i had a dream. Not a dream about world peace or anything, rather a dream that I got to Europe and was the only person. The pickpockets were all off vacationing in the Bahamas with their previous years takings, the hostels were closed, the tourist attractions were closed, tumbleweeds, etc. Being a bit dramatic there, lol... but seriously, do people backpack in march?!
thanks
