That Moscow one is class.
They're currently in the process of building Dublin's first subway system. Hopefully it won't be a complete disaster like our last tunnel project that went from the docks to the outer ring motorway. It was designed to take the trucks out of the city traffic but the feckin' ejits made the thing to small for allot trucks, it's constantly being shut down for leaks too.

That was a good read. I've even been on a few of them.
Now I want to see a list of the worlds worst subways.

Here are some pics of the brand new mrt system in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
Of special note. All underground stations feature top-to-bottom glassed in entrances to the subway itself.
- no worry of psychopath pushing you in front of a train. YaY!
This is inside the entrance to the first pic
This one isnt finished yet, and the station has 3 other "prism" type entrances like this on the other corner of the interection
Inside the shopping district station
This is the World Games 2009 station
Which will lead to the World Games stadium.
[IMG] [/IMG]
Which will look like this when its finished.
A special note on the stadium. The roof is entirely made up of solar panels making it an all-out green stadium.

cool posts guys...
I've been on 3. Loved NYC simply because it took me directly to the airport-no stinking buses for me!
whereas
Paris was a little *too* impressive IMO

The moscow metro is cool, each line has a seperate achitectual theme, on some of the more elaborate stations you can see tour groups going around, usually during rush hour, which just cause absolute bedlam and anarchy

the Moscow metro is cool to me because in rush hour a train comes every 30 seconds and its still not enough to handle all the people! same for the Kyiv metro

I agree... that article makes me want to travel to experience more subway systems... Sydeny's train system isn't bad... but it's not the most extensive one..

I'll be riding 4 of those in the next two months. Toronto's is nice, but it needs to expand.

Toronto is awful!! I hate our subway system... it's got nothing on the subways I've seen.. they keep raising the price and the service is still getting worse..

When I started Uni, it was 2.25, by the time I was finished it was 2.75. That's quite the increase in 4 years. It is getting better...slowly.
