Hello there folks... been a lurker on this site for a while now.... I just finished up my cruise ship life the othe day, and now I am getting ready for my backpacking life. I had planned on going to UK/Europe starting in may for the entire summer, but late last year my brother decided that he will be getting married at the end of july. So my problem is I have to wait til after the wedding to leave... this isn't a problem to me, but i am wondering if the weather is going to be a major factor... basically will i frezze when it starts to hit late october?

I plan on staying with the UK till mid-september, then heading into europe and making my way down as the next 2 month pass by, till about mid november... then either back to england to try and find work... or maybe south africa to visit friends....

will i have to fill my pack with fleece or will i be ok?

cheers,
ed larry

Hola...

Sorry to skip about three miles ahead of your actual question, but very curious as to find out about cruise ship life. What was it that you did, was a fantastic experience, did you meet heaps of people, did you get looked after/treated well, did you get much time to yourself to party?

...and in answer to your question, i havent been in europe in the later months of the year, but i dare say that coming into december will start getting chilli. I believe august is the hottest time of the year up that way, but then it must take a huge dive down the temperature scale after that.

Cheers...
