Its just over a month and a half until I pack up everything I own into a steamer trunk and move to the UK. My problem: I have an entire house full of crap that won't quite fit. I don't want to put anything in storage. I've got a few family members that have volunteered to store/borrow the things that I don't want to part with, but the rest of the stuff I just want to get rid of. Does anyone have any experience in this? I'm thinking of handing everything over to an estate auctioneer but I'm wondering if there's a better solution. The auctioneer I've talked to said that they will take a 25% cut of all sales, but they guarentee that everything will be sold. I don't think I want to deal with the headache of selling things individually. While I don't want to just give things away, I'm not overly concerned with getting the maximum amount of money.
I'm looking forward to living minimalistic for a couple years.
