Hi there,
Not sure how I came across this board, but am I glad I did. There's a plethora of information, but alas, I cannot for the life of me find information on what size pack to get. Me and my girlfriend are going to travel through Europe for 2 weeks, and I think we'll be mostly train hopping. With that in mind I dont really want to lug around a suitcase, so I decided to get a backpack.
For 2 weeks, what do you guys suggest I pack? (I'm 24 year old male.) And the ultimate question, what SIZE backpack should I look for?
Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the quick response! Now that I've got some idea of what to look for in a backpack.
What do you think I should pack for 2 weeks? I believe we will be hotel/hostel hopping through 4 different countries (Germany, Austria [My G/F's over there now for 5 months], Greece and Italy), we're not really into going clubbing, more into sight seeing and enjoying the scenery. I'm just trying to get an idea of how much to pack, I really dont want to overpack/underpack.

Welcome to the boards!!
Here's a packing list for guys that's linked from the main TPunk page: HERE
If you're going to have access to laundry services (whether using a laundry shop or doing in backpacker style aka sink/tub) then you can cut back on how much your taking. Usually when traveling I take enough for a week underwear and sock-wise and bring 5 days worth of pants/shirts. Depends on how comfortable you are being smelly sometimes though, hehe.
Hope that all helps!

Welcome to the boards! So when I backpack for 2-3 weeks, I really don't take much clothing, a couple tshirts, pants, shorts, and I mostly buy stuff while travleling, a lot of times, I will even toss the shirts I brought with me. All comes down to how you feel. I love finding cool clothes in street markets etc... As for socks and underware, 3 pairs max, these items are easily washed in bathroom sinks and dried hanging over night.
