So a few nights ago I was driving around with my best friend (who I never see because we're both busy with school and work) and she mentions she's going to take off for London for two weeks in August. When my little eyes lite up she asked me if I wanted to come along (it was going to be her and her boyfriend). After 30 mintues of talking we decided to wait until November and we'll fly over for two weeks. Right now we're thinking Thur Nov 16th thru Thur Nov 30th. That way we can get slightly less expensive tickets and hopefully not as many tourists.
Also Thanksgiving time is when my work (weight loss consultant) gets extremely slow - last year I read three of the Harry Potter books while working. So I can get time off as long as we don't have anyone else quit.
Tickets are pretty cheap right now for that time period $517 RT - PHL to LHR. But we're debating on taking a few days to Amsterdam (I know, I know) and Dublin (she has family there). I'm thinking of getting tickets on Ryanair for both but it would end up being one week in London three days a piece of Dublin and Amsterdam. Anyway my question is should we just cut out A-dam and do one week in London and one in Dublin (and changing the departure city to Dublin)?
Any comments, stories, and offers of meet-ups are welcome.
