Hello Impish,

Plan on layers, when packing. Especially with England's whether being so changeable (my favorite, was one old Cornish woman saying, "We don't get weather -- we get 'bits of weather'...a bit of rain, a bit of sun, a bit of cloud...all day long").

So, bring at least one pairs of shorts, and a couple pairs of long pants. I usually go with a couple short sleeve shirts and at least one long sleeve. What I like to do for coat(s), is pack a zip-up, hooded sweatshirt, then a light, waterproof jacket to put on over it for those really cold, rainy days. Or if it is a warm, rainy day you leave off the sweatshirt and wear just the waterproof one.

Leaves you lots of options...you may not be styling, but you'll be warm and comfortable. Who knows? Maybe the WWM Worldlook will take off one day...

Impishremorse to the baords!! Great to have you along for the ride!!! I am sure you will find tons of peeps here to help you with your new found adventure!!!

WWM nailed the packing issue, so I will try to help with the flight info...

You have alot of options...

You could buy your ticket online with companies like:
Expedia
Travelocity
Hotwire
And there are plenty more....just make sure you find one that you can check out and make sure they are reliable if there is any problem. Or you can book direct with an airline of your choice

You can try to bid for a ticket @
Priceline

And my personal fave, actually breaking down and going to a travel agent. I like being able to negotiate my price, and price beat with other agents...I just prefer the face to face...UNLESS i know there is some sweet deal availble online
