I'm going to be traveling with approx. 2-3 other people, looking to leave late May or very early June '05. But first things first! Before I can do anything, I need to decide what places to hit! Looking to go to Europe and/or UK, nowhere with a huge language barrier that will cause problems (can speak a tiny bit of French however), no US haters (lol), and would like to get approx. a 2.5-3 week trip on around $3000.
So what are your rec's for this first timer??? I thought Dublin would be cool... and I've read all the places you guys have gone, but don't know much like I said. Anyway, please help me get started, or put a few things to spark my interest!

~Thanks!~ cherrybombshell

Well first off, does the 3000 count for the air fare? Even if it does, for 3 weeks you will be sitting ok. When looking into buying air fare look at flying into Amsterdam or Brussels, they are cheaper than say London and Paris to fly into...

Most of the big citys in Europe will have people in it that speak English, so don't worry about that.

You have 2 options of travel within Europe. The EuroRail and no frills air liners like EasyJet and RyanAir. They flights are dirt cheep and can get you to from point A to B in much quicker. I would say Amsterdam, Prague, London, and Berlin.

Hope this helps.

If you go to the right places, Prague's not a very expensive city, and there are a whole lot of english-speaking locals and Anglophone expats throughout the city.

Dublin sounds downright badass. I say go for it, but I love Irish everything (doubly so the beer)

A couple places you should hit might be Amsterdam, Madrid(defintely), Lisbon, Barcelona, Biarritz(France).

Those are just my recommendations! Good luck on your trip!
