to TravelPunk.com Little Minx!!!!!
Clubs, Clubs and more Clubs...Australia is PACKED with great clubs...if your planning on hitting them, then i would say some nice shoes would be in order..I went to a few when I was in Sydney and Melborne and da peps dress pretty sassy...Gotta dress to impress at the clubs...
If your just going for a pub night, then the casual look works fine...
Here is a list of Sydney Clubs ...

CD nailed the dress code - if ya go to a club dress up, if ya hit the pubs then its a much more casual affair.

Little Minx WELCOME TO THE BOARDS!
There is another post by KatDawg that goes through her packing list for Australia (She's there RIGHT NOW!). You may want to check that out.
As for high heels, thats a tough call, but if you got room form them, why not Just make sure that you also have shoes for lots of walking
Hopefully one of the Tpunk ladies can anser your post with more depth !

Minx,
I haven't even gone anywhere yet and I already got the bug. I don't think you can get rid of it. Once a traveler, always a traveler. :D Where abouts in England are you? I have family near York.

Hey Minx! :D
High heels huh?! Well, I don't wear mine a lot (I can't walk straight with that!) so I had sandals, which look good with shorts, a dress, a skirt, or pants...When packing, I always ask myself how many times I will wear this or that...If the answer is below once a week, well, I just don't pack it (It's not worth the effort of carrying this for 3 months!)! I try to pack enough clothes to last a week, and usually things that all fit together and look pretty classic (and that dry fast!) so I won't get bored of them...Tanks are light and small and bring diversity, I usually pack 3-5 of them...On my last trip, I didn't pack any jeans, and I missed them a lot! I also made the mistake to bring 3 pairs of shoes: My walking boots, my sandals and some other shoes...I never used the shoes because they hurt my feet. I was wearing my sandals all the time, exept when hicking or walking for a long time...
Anyways, since you'll be gone for 3 months, bring your favorite clothes, and when you're bored of them just buy a little something new, so you don't feel like you wear the same thing all the time (plus it's a nice souvenir)!!!
Hope it helps!

Sijuki - Hi, i know what you mean even thinking about it and planning it is exciting, cant imagine how fab it will be once im actually there! I live in the South of Engaland, in a blace called Basingstoke, but we like to call it BORINGstoke! its easier when telling people to just say an hour from London. My grandparents used to live in York so i went there alot when i was little, cant really remember much now though!
Mocassin - Thanks alot for your advice, it really hepls! I wasn't thinking of taking any jeans with me, but now i think mabe i should as i live in them here! its so differcult trying to decide what to bring with me, i was planning on taking walking boots, trainers, flip-flops and a pair of nice shoes to wear out, think ive changed my mind now!
I guess i can always by stuff when im out there if i need too.
Anyways thanks again for your advice!
