A friend and I are planning to go to Europe in Dec. we are already pretty sure we will head to Amsterdam and Munich, most likely Brussels as well. However we are not sure on where else to go, due to limited time we will probably only chose one other place , I was thinking either Paris or Switzerland? Any suggestions would be welcomed thanks

hhhmmm Switzerland is very expensive but intriguing, of the two I would choose Paris, but that may be because of my own personal experiences.

Use the force, let it guide you :greenguy:

I need help choosing cities as well.....My month long Europe trip priorities in order from most important to least are:

1) Party and Meet people from around the world
2) "See The sites"
3) take some amazing pictures....photography is kinda a side hobby of mine...
4) oh...and maybe even seen some AMAZING cars...maybe hit up the ferrari or lambo or bugatti or something like that

Places I've been:
Amsterdam
Paris
Rome
Venice
Lisbon
Florence
Athens
Crete

Places I am considering go...from what I have heard from other people are:
Prague whats there???
Spain (not sure where...either Ibiza, Madrid, or Barcelona)
Stockholm what's there???
kinda wanna go to Switzerland...what are the pluses and minuses???
Never been to interested in Germany but lots of people Rave about it....why???
Milan supposed to have a lot of young people
Dublin (but other people said other places in Ireland are better)
Scotland (not sure where or why...but I kinda wanna see some Highlands)

And Candian Dude...whats Monaco City all ABOAT...i mean about...ehehe...why did you like it so much??? isnt it pretty expensive???

Travel Punk....I am the one who sent you the email raving about the site yesterday....email: kayea@infinity-software.com for everyone's reference...

I speak some french...so any countries with french as a common or second language would be cool too...

Thanks for the HELP!!!!!

ALL INFO is greatly appreciated...i've been reading a lot of posts on here and you people seem very nice, helpful, informative, and (best of all) LIVELY!!!!!!

Adam!!!!

Why I love Monnaco??? Well if you wanna see a historic citie, with a great view, the most amzazing cars like:

and seeing Lambo' and Ferrari's is as common as seeing a city bus.

Where you get to see the wolds largest yachts, some so big, they have helcopters on the deck, some so big they do not fit into a slip, so they take thier SCARAB as a go between, did i mention that these peoples personal water craft is a 100,000$ SCARAB???

Monaco is the playground of the rich and famous, you wanna see some cool stuff...thats the place to go

COOL COOL.....

Thanks for the welcomes!!!

Oui, Mocassin, Je parle petite francais, mais j'ai oublie beaucoup de la langue francais...Ou est-ce que tu habite? Quebec ou Paris? (i know I am not completely gramatically correct...but its comprehendable..right?)

What about the cities I listed??? Any thoughts, reflections, memories, suggestions, about them? or any other places???

Major Question: What about Germany...I don't think I am into German culture...but thats just because I am extremely anit-Holocaust....this my be a generic and ignorant opinion of germany though....

thanks for the info C-Dude, Monaco sounds awesome...thats definately reason enough for me to go...BTW, I drive an Acura NSX...oh, its fun....I have a car disease...its sickening......Don't you just love the Jaguar XJ220...those things are beautiful......another sweet car to check out if you dont know what it is is the Mercedes CLK-GTR...

yo kyle, I think you just stole moc's heart. I don't really have any advice on germany because i was only in munich for one night, but bavaria had amazing scenery and fockin good beer I focused on the british isles for most of my trip, so I would recommend that you go to dublin, which i think is the coolest city in europe. Temple Bar area for nightlife. For a day trip you can go to glendalough, which is a beautiful lake. or head north and spend the day in northern ireland. I would also recommend that you head to western ireland. Galway is the main city, which is a lively student town. I went on a daytrip to the aran islands. But I wished I had spent at least a night there! I didn't want to go home. All the islands have ruins thru out. ANd mostly everyone speaks gaelic. This is the closest you'll come to 'real' irealand. I hired a man to take me around the island. he spoke of the history and showed me all the ruins all for just five pounds! (this was in 2001 so no euro yet) . and for gawd sakes go to the scottish highlands! Isle of skye was my favourite. I think so many travellers focus on the big cities, but i meet way more characters in smaller towns and feel that i've captured the essence of a place when i go to out of the way towns.

cd- are u gonna run out of welcome signs anytime soon? :D

AdamTheCultured - You drive an NSX? What year? Sweet - post it! Let's turn this into a hot car thread!

*Caution: Thread hi-jacking in progress* B)

Naw, but, I was only in Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland. Beautiful ski resort town, but pricey. And not that much to do if you ain't hittin the slopes..
Paris was over-touristy and over-museumy, but you still can't pass up seeing all the postcard landmarks and cultural treasures pilfered from all over the world (Louvre)! Will take you a few good days just to zip thru all the main sights in the city.

Yeah it handles like a dream...i autocross race it sometimes, and even when I push it...I cant get it to drift...it handles like its on Rails.....definately havent topped it out yet....RPMs redline at 8,000......and the speedometer goes to 190.....it supposedly tops out a 182 though......I've only taken it to 145 MPH........hahaha......What a rush......

Thanks for the birthday kudos Dio....

Yeah, I work out a bit...too much....I was a major pothead party type until my G/F of 1 year dumped me and that motivated me to hit the gym, stop smoking (almost), and go on a bodybuilding diet.....my dad is a vegietarian nutritionist...so I have always eaten really healthy....I can make some mean Tofu...

I might be young but I am one of the most mature/coolest people for my age....more will be disclosed as time goes on...seeing as how this is only my first day on the board.....
