Unhappy

Hi all.

I'm leaving to the US in Jan for a month, heading for Boston. But mainly going to Australia for a year (hopefully) and was wondering are there many backpackers who do it alone? I hear stories of how people meet up and travel together etc. I'm just worried incase I have this big send off from my mates and family to find I'm bored sh:tless and return after a couple of month?

I don't think you should be worried about being bored...You are going to travel through countries and cities that you have never been to, every place small town or huge city will have something to offer you, from food, events, festivals, great people...if your a personable person, you could travel for a lifetime and not get bored, have faith in people, talk to as many as you can and friendships will grow, freindships equal adventure...some friendships will be brief and some will last, but either way good comes out of it.

I don't thin you will be home in a couple of months, I think you will be gone for longer than you thought, Asia is close to Australia, you could end up there? or Fiji? or the frik'n South Pole for all I know....travel is a virus and once you start....you never want it to end... :D

I can honestly say that 80% of my day is spend thinking about how big the world is, and what i am missing out on by being here...Don't get me wrong, I love my life, but there is so much out there....

And I would like to say

To the TravelPUNK family!!!
