I have decided that i want to back pack around Europe when I'm finished school.

Just want some suggestions on how much money to save, planning and any other tips... I'm not done school for another 2 years so i'll have time to save up some cash.

So far there is just one country that really would like to see and that is Belgium.

Just lookin for some tips and suggestions on how to set this up.

Hey..welcome to the boards!!! I wish I was more thought out like you are. Starting to save now is a great plan. The amount you want to save of course depends on how long you want to go. Most people would say that $75 a day is an average amount to plan for, but since you have time, and because of that devil called inflation, maybe you should shoot for $100, but that is your choice. Also, plan in airfare, rail pass, and bus fees. This site has a ton of info for you and everyone is super friendly as well. Good luck on your planning!

Travelling solo is sweet I think its the way to go. You don't have anyone to argue with if you want to make a drastic change in plans. Backpacking is all about drastic changes. I bet you'll stick to 50% of your itinerary once you get out there.
