As far as I know the coast is the place to be in Croatia. There are ferries I believe from both Greece and Italy to get into the main ports.

I am not sure of the current status but I know in previous books I have read they said the rural areas are still laced with mines so to keep on the main roads only when traveling. I'll look some more stuff up.

The only transport in Croatia is bus and boat. There are also some tours you can take which will take you up the 'dalmatian coast' by boat.

From Greece, I believe there are some ferrys that operate out of corfu. Alternatively, you can take a ferry to Italy and hop on a ferry to croatia. I wouldn't reccomend trying to get to Croatia by land from Greece. You'd have to go through a couple dodgy countries.

Debrovnik is supposed to be one of the best towns in Europe. I'd start there, then make my way up the coast visiting a few islands and towns along the coast.

Ok I love to see that finially more people are starting to go to Croatia. In my opinion it has always been one of my favorite countries. As far as what to see there it all depends on what you are looking for. The coast is rich with life and good times. Where inland you get to see the rich culture and history of the country. I hope you have a great trip, please make sure to post some pics when you get back!!!
