Okay, by far the cheapest ticket I've found for June from NY to London (ooh, if you can help me get from Chi to JFK, I have a post under transportation!) is 150$ OW. I know some countries give you problems with a OW ticket though. Any insight?? I might be going to a four week TEFL course in Leeds in mid June - so I'll probably have a student Visa or something?? Help me!!!!!!!!! I'm lost already.

I've only run into that problem once - and it was in the UK - where the passport control people grilled me about my return ticket and my planned date of departure, etc. I think if you have a visa, though, you should be ok.

If you have a visa it should be ok. I had a return, but it was for a week after I arrived, and obviously not going to be used. They didnt hassle me too much. Really they ought to have deported me.

Give yourself p-l-e-n-t-y of time to pass through security. One way travelers set off all kinds of security warning bells...

As for immigration, if they don't like your work story, tell them after that you're traveling around the continent for awhile.
