What would you pack if you where going away from all forms of Society from a while (1-3 months). Think about: food, clothing, entertainment.

a handle of good vodka
Bottle of wine (or five)
my corduroy pants and wool peacoat
a few knives and first aid kit
fishing gear
blanket
3 or 4 notebooks and a few boxes of sparkly gel pens
leaves of grass, 100 years of Solitude, my complete works of shakespeare and a girlie mag
a case of oreos, plenty of water to go with

I could go on forever, you didnt place any limitations...

Sounds like a good plan... I could use a month or 3 of solitude.

I would bring an Ipod, batteries
notebooks
pens
chips and soda
chair
a nice pillow.
my t-punk hoodie
my camera... always find something to photograph

Although I would probably need more food.

Nix the laptop. The whole joy of traveling is being completely isolated from the outside world. I get a feeling of insignificance when I disconnect. Don't care about politics, work, family; It's just me and my journey. It's very Zen.

Of course you gotta pop up every once and awhile or else my parents would call Interpol.. but thats what internet cafes are for.

sweetheart, why do you need makeup if you are all by yourself?
Hell, if I were in complete solitude for three months, I doubt I would shave, or comb my hair, or clip my nails, or even bathe. Let alone use body lotion or pluck my eyebrows...

Ev,
I don't need no danged ol' fire. I got my hoodie to keep me warm, and noone to share the fire with anyway so bleh.

Although I need a phone so I can order food once in a while. Maybe meet a cute delivery girl, who hopefully clips her nails and shaves her beard...err.. legs.

Belle, that's because I like to look good for myself... The first thing I do when I wake up is: brush my teeth and put some make up... If I don't shave... I feel dirty... So It's not about other people, It's about myself and I feel better if I do it...

I only do it to be socially accepted. Left to myself I would be quite savage. To each her own.
