Default Passport stamps- How to get them?

So, I'm trying to break in my new passport but at this present moment, it's still blank and I've been in and out of Denmark and now currently in Stockholm.

I didn't walk through any customs check point in either airport so no stampola on my passport.

What's up with that? Where can I go to get my passport stamped if there are no customs officials there to greet you?

There are no border controls in the Schengen zone, so there is no one there to stamp passports. The EU is a customs union so there shouldn't be any customs officers either.

For European stamps you have to go to Serbia, Romania, Ukraine, Croatia, Bulgaria, Belarus, Albania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Moldova, UK or Ireland.

What?! When did the no-stamping thing happen? I've gotten stamped on my old passport in Spain, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Portugal, Belgium, and Italy.

That sucks...

you pretty much do have to fly-I once rode in a car from France through the Belgian and Dutch border and then back through the Belgian and French border without being stopped-even the Swiss tend to let people go if they have a Swiss road tax sticker.

You can get stamps it just depends on where you're entering from and when they joined Schengen.

For example, if you fly USA-Netherlands u will get a stamp at the airport bc this is entering Schengen. However if you enter Netherlands from Germany you will not get a stamp bc they are both Schengen. The border is basically no man's land now.

If you fly UK or Ireland to the continent you will get stamped. If you fly intra Schengen (ie a Germanwings flight Budapest to Stuttgart) you won't get stamped.

Also in my old passport I had stamps entering Austria from Hungary and stamps entering Poland from Germany. This is because back in 2007 Hungary and Poland were not Schengen. Now they are so if I did those same border crossings today I would not get stamped.

Exactly, kinda have to look at Schengen as a European US if I flew from the UK to New York, I would get stamped however if I flew from New York to Texas I would not as I am already in the US.
