Damn!!! Sorry to hear that! I'll be sure to lock my doors every night, cuz yeah... sometimes I do leave it unlocked, considering my neighbourhood/building 'safe'

Faaack, what a bummer! I can't believe how people can do that kind of crap, how ridiculous. Good luck in getting your stuff back/replaced/paid for... :<

I know the feeling we got robbed the weekend before I went to OZ so like 3-4 weeks ago, its a discusting feeling knowing that a stranger has been in your home!

Best of luck with the bank / insurance if you have it - cancelling your cards would have to be the best thing you can do right now - that and keep positive!

That sucks sooo bad, Lizz. Sorry to hear it.

I know it's pretty overboard, but I mostly stayed in privates and when I would sleep, I slept with my money belt on and always locked my backpack to something like the heater or bedframe, etc...

Heard too many stories of theft, even while people were sleeping. Even maids and employees can be on some crooks payroll, and they have master keys for everything.

Good luck, Lizz.

Ok, so first off I'd like to say (like everyone else), that it totally blows having been ripped off like that man. Not cool. I feel for ya.

That being said, on a brighter note, I had to add that I love this line:

Thats awful! I remember when I was living in Paris some guy came in and robbed us when we were asleep luckily he did not walk away with much but it made us feel really insecure.
