Possibly a dumb question: I was curious about whether people tend to bring their backpacks with them onto the airplane, or maybe they are putting them into checked luggage for some reason? I don't suppose my backpack would be heavier than is allowable onboard, and I feel weird about not having it immediately as I got off the plane. At the same time it seems like a bit of a hassle to wrangle a relatively hefty backpack into the overhead bin and such. Plus the liquids rule might be a sticking point, too. Is there some backpacker norm that I'm missing, or does it just depend on the person and the circumstances?

i keep my stuff on me at all costs, especially while travel far away. you NEVER know what is going to happen. the only down fall is that if you're not boarding in the first or second batch of passengers, you'll risk having to check it anyways. and you'll have to pack really light.
also, you can carry small amounts of liquids now. check the airline webpage. you wouldn't want to carry large bottles of anything anyhow. just buy travel sizes where ever you go and learn to love air-dryed, product-free hair.

Yeah, I've definitely embraced the product free life for a few years now, and now that I think about it, there wouldn't be a reason to bring any full-size bottles of anything with me aside from maybe sunscreen, which I can't really forgo. I guess I could buy that once I arrived, though.
And I figured it would be best that I keep things with me all the time if possible, it would be too much of a bummer to have them lose my pack or something like that! I'm not planning on taking too much, though I will have a tent and sleeping bag, but I'm thinking it won't be hard to finagle it in somewhere.. :3

^ Ditto Beth! I still can't believe the chica's that backpack around with all that shit. It's just hair!
I don't even own a blow dryer. I always bring 2-1 shampoo with me when I backpack. It saves me so much room and honestly I don't notice a difference.

I usually start off with both shampoo and conditioner then end up ditching the conditioner along the way. Shampoo is so much more versatile. I use it for laundry and if I'm really in a bind, dishes too! lol

hello
Europe uses comma's where we use decimals. so 14,45 = 14.45. I hear a lot of the smaller towns still use some of the original currency. So you may be in luck.
its right. and i want to know more information related with currency.
