Hi everyone,

I have somewhat of a dilemma here. I'm in the Netherlands on a studyabroad thing. My classes end next week, and I don't start new classes till the middle of May. My accomodation also runs out next week and thus far I've been unable to find new accomodation. So I've decided to backpack around Europe till my next classes start. BUT, I don't know what to do with my laptop! It seems reckless to bring it to hostels with me. Anyone ever done this? I was thinking that if I do, I might just keep it in my daypack at all times (it's an ibook so it's tiny), but I like to go hiking and stuff and I might get caught out in the rain.

Any advice would be well appreciated. Also, does anyone have experience with cheap places for left-luggage in Europe? I have a huge suitcase that I'm going to need to store as well while I'm gone. I was thinking of leaving it at Amsterdam (Schiphol) airport, but its over 100 euros for a month. eugh. Any other ideas?

thanks!

A couple of things my friends, if you really wanna bring it, make sure it is always in your day pack where you know it is safe. As for rain, a large ziplock bag should be the cheapest way to fix that problem. If i owned one I would have to have this bebate with my self for sure...As for bringing it to the hostel, you will literally have to sleep with it...or you might be the perfect person to own one of these...PacSafe...That would keep you stuff secure while you sleep and if you day pack attaches to your "mother" pack then it should cover both...I decideed that I did not need this product soem time back as the mot valuable thing i have in my pack if half a snickers bar....BUT if i was to bring a lap[top I would invest in the PAcsafe, just for some peace of mind....

Most hostels will do this for you sometimes free sometiomes for a small fee, but if its for a huge suitcase you might wanna throw a buddy a six pack and a jopint and ask them to watch it for ya...or try a local public storage, they might have a good price...ANYTHING you wanna do at the Airport will cost you more
