I was listening to Larry King last night, and a caller had a valid point. Why should she weighing 110 pounds, pay extra for baggage when a man twice or three times as big gets on with less baggage and pays less.
Now I'm a big guy so I would hate to be charged because of my weight. However, I understand her argument, and sadly have to agree with it.

I have a rather simple explanation.
Bags can't sue airlines
I also agree with Andrew but would also hate to be charged extra for my 100kg.

Well baggage requires handling multiple times (up to 4-5 times on a given trip), so it seems totally different to me since it has specific additonal costs beyond weight for fuel. It isn't practical to weigh customers, it is easy to weigh bags.

Very true. But don't be surprised if one day, a pad is put in front of the check in counter that doubles as a scale. Definitely wouldn't surprise me.

Because she's an igornant bitch!! I don't like that shit. It's like people here complaining about smokers being a drain on the health service, do you want to see those people dieing on your doorstep?
All that weight shit is an excuse to charge more, it's a load of crap.
I thought this was the stingiest passenger. I'd be very stingy, I won't pay more than €100 to fly anywhere, the only reason I'm going to Sweden is because I didn't have to pay for the flights.
