what is this website?!
Okay several months ago, SOMEONE posted a link to this website that showed a map and you could type in your aiport of origin and it would show, visually, all the places to fly into and the price so you sould see where the cheapest was to fly into.
I thought it was travelzoo, but I see that it is not. I have searched TP for about a half hour and can't find the damn thread.
Who knows what this website is??!!!

Are you thinking of the Star Alliance website? I know someone posted a link a year or two ago to their website where you can download a cool screen saver that is a world map that shows all the Star Alliance flights visually over a 24 hr period...it keeps looping - each flight is a little colored pixel that moves between the cities. There was nothing on there about pricing however. I think it would be challenging to put all flights from all airlines from a large airport, like Chicago, on a single map - there would be way too many wouldn't there?
Anyway, the Star Alliance thing is the only thing I could think of even remotely similar to what you are talking about..it sounds like a great idea and if it doesn't exist you should create it!

no it really exists because I had it bookmarked on my work computer before our commo had to baseline the damn thing and I lost everything. it was really the greatest website ever and I got the link from here. I swear! it was some random travel site.... and I was sure it was travel zoo but I see that it was not.
I know I commented on the website and I am thisclose to looking through every damn post but I know that might take a few weeks LOL

OKAY. well. I have bad news. I looked through ALL my posts and am now nearly blind. Couldn't find the website. so either I didn't comment on the website like I thought I did or it doesn't exist and I just made it up subconsciously or something.
SO MAD!

If this doesn't exist, someone really needs to make it. Having a screensaver on your computer with real time updates on cheapest flights to every city would be incredible.

I think that one is the star alliance website.
The one I am talking about you put your airport of origin in then I dunno if it only works for europe but you click "visualize" or some shit and it shows like the top 20 cheapest places to fly into from your specified dates. It was such a cool thing.
let this be a lesson to you all - BACK UP!

You're probably thinking of Travelocity's DreamMaps feature.
Simply type in your departure city and it can give you fare deals to various cities.

Hmm...that's pretty interesting. It found a $198 R/T from Chicago to San Juan, PR. Pretty cool - this definately looks like what Nicole was talking about. Guess she is not quit as addled as we thought.
