Heh, not strictly travel related, but kind of a cool story.

So, as some may have deduced from things I've said, I'm the manager of a GNC. I have two more weeks before my last day, and my work days are becoming exceptionally long... I have been stressing out since I am just barely making it to my savings goal.

Today, the manager of the Old Navy in my mall came by, and told me all about his diet. To make a long story short, I negotiated a trade, employee discount for employee discount, to go in and stock up on all the clothes for my trip! Woo hoo!

Just goes to show that a little charm can go a long way.

Ive been looking at digital cameras for my trip. I asked the salesman who was tending to me if I could 'haggle' He immediately pointed to a AUD$150 memory card and said I could have AUD$50 off that. And I didnt even hard bargain with him!

I am always trading employee discount for employee discount. Its a great tool. Although corporate would frown upon it I figure I am getting them the extra sales. I tend to give mine out the most for photo processing and enlargements. I will do almost anything to keep a customer.

Haggling, and Bartering I believe are two of the most useful business tools anywhere in the world.
