In 1918 the armistice that ended World War I came into force, bringing to an end four years of hostilities .
At 11am on 11 November we pause to remember the sacrifice of those men and women who have died or suffered in wars and conflicts and all those who have served during the past 100 years

Yeah our Veterans Day used to be Armistice Day, but then WW2 happened which was bigger and more important so we decided to cover all wars with the one day.

We have rememberance day also.. and today I didn't see one person Not wearing a poppy and honestly it almost brought me to tears.. my grandfather faught on D-day and I will always remember.
