You all following these 2 hurricanes? Well, Charley for that matter? People here are freaking out. I know hurricanes are bad, but there are gas stations in tampa that are running out of gas. The only good thing about hurricanes....... HURRICANE PARTY!!

I know fun times. The only bad thing is that Charely is supposed to do like Floyd and come up the Cheskapeake Bay (this is near where I live not down FL). My dad's coin shop got flooded in Floyd, he lost like 10 grand worth of coins, computer equpiment, etc. He had like a 1981 Mac, thing was awesome. Went bye-bye though. Hopefully it doesn't happen again even though he had moved his shop he still owns the property. Plus my car's in the car repair place. Which happens to be near where it always floods. That would suck.

I personally like storms as long as lightening isn't involved I can go out and jump arounf and such. If not I just watch.

I've never actually experienced a hurricane 1st hand but hopefully it wont screw things up for ya blink! (you know hurricanes hardly ever are as bad as they intend then to be anyway...of course they're generally worse when they plan on them being nothing....) but w/e. I love storms too! There's something about them...It rox to hang out in an absolutly torrential rainfall....lol so hv a great time

I lived in Florida until I was sixteen. Now granted, I lived about an hour inland, but I never understood why the big fuss about hurricanes.. Sure some places on the coast get messed up, but that's about it. Some nice wind and rain.

I feel really sorry for their families... And the houses and whatnot. I called some old friends in Fl and they werent impressed by charley, either. But really. If you live in south Fl, you should know going into the game you'll have more than your fair share of hurricanes.

Well, we got hit hard as hell here. The eye passed over us at around 9pm on Friday. I was in awe with the power of the storm, I watch power lines explode with a blue/green color and trees that are over 40-50 feet tall crash like toothpicks (will post the pics once I get power back at home). We are still with out power (going on 5 days now). The roads still have loads of trees in them and I think only 5 streetlights work in the whole city. There are cops everywhere directing traffic. There is still no gas at gas stations and I can't find a bottle of milk ANYWHERE in the city. (Since the power went out, the stores can't sell the milk they had) and to top it all off, I can only hear the football games on some POS radio that needs the batteries changed every 2 hours. I'm at work now using internet and A/C (YEAH BABY! LOVE THE A/C)

But I'm lucky not to be hurt, besides a few jammed toes from walking around in the dark, I'm A-OK.

I hope you all that got hit by the storm are doing good.

-Lee
