I'm Retarded!
I got in a really nasty bike accident on Sunday, smacked into a car going 30ish. Knocked myself out, concussion, messed myself and my bike up really bad. Stitches in the head and hand, all sorts of bandages, really . . . I'm so cool now. I thought I was just tired or something yesterday, but today I had classes again and I realized that I'm really really slow mentally. Just typing this, and fixing all my errors, is rough. I'm really afraid of what's going to happen to my grades, friendships, etc. Also I just moved in with new roommates, so this is their sorta-first impression of me. Sweet.
I just hope I get better, REALLY quickly. Cuz this is no fun. I'm gonna try to post on the board a bit, but if I'm a bit sketchy in my posts or whatever, hopefully you'll understand.

I wish we had a university short-bus. I'd make so much fun of me.

Also, all the really complete morons I've met seem to be the biggest chick magnets... Silver lining on every cloud!

Recovering from a concussion SUCKS! I've had a few and felt pretty retarded afterward - either for the after-effects or how I got there to begin with!
Just keep yourself (and your mind) rested for another few days. Take it easy. And as much as you're tempted to, don't drink or otherwise intoxicate yourself. Let that big ol' melon heal!

That sucks about the bike accident. Bike as in motorcycle or as in road bike (the type you pedal)? Hah, I had a roommate in college who was a cyclist and he got into some pretty nasty accidents. Sometimes they were partly his fault like when he was drafting a car on campus and then that car had to suddenly stop to avoid an accident. Good luck with the recovery.

It was a bike as in pedal type.
I'm feeling SO MUCH better now, maybe even 100%. I've really been taking it easy this past week, getting plenty of sleep, and I've never been so sober. Thanks for the get well wishes! I'm lucky, could have been much worse off.

Glad you're feeling better...sounds like it could have been a lot worse all things considered (when it comes to head injuries...)
