why has twitter suddenly gotten so much more popular? I feel like it's just happened over the last week or something!

It's been a while since I've updated my 2nd account here.

The first one was deleted most likely because I started to "follow" about 2,000 in a few weeks time. A couple of people wrote to say "hi" I didn't respond quick enough and I was flagged and it took forever for the twitter peeps to respond, so I just deleted the account and started over...

I think it's getting a lot of play lately because it's been reported that a bunch of senators are sending tweets while sitting on the senate floor
