Hi everyone,

I´m mistyping from Andorra (damned Spanish keyboard!), where I just arrived today. The bus ride up here was pretty stunning...lots of cool mountain scenery. I can´t wait for tomorrow to tackle it all...well, maybe I can. I´m tired. I got to the aiport in Columbus at 1230 Monday, and here it is after 10 pm Tuesday, and I haven´t been to bed, yet.

Anyway, everything´s going smoothly so far. I´ll either keep you updated or post a report when I get back...

Seeya!

hi everyone,

well, day one in andorra was awesome...well, guess it was kind of day two, eh? I started off at the tourist office to find out what was open and what wasn´t, as it is the end of ski season and prior to hiking season. Speaking of which, I was expecting it to be freaking cold up here...since it is in the Pyrenees (sandwiched between spain and france). Nope. Warmer than back home! I had a gorgeous, sunny day in the 23C range, which has to be around 70 F.

I then checked out the Casa del Val...the combination parliament and judiciary building, bulit in the 1500s. Nice, free individual tour...cool stuff. You´d like it, CD. Anyway, then it was on a path out of town and up into the hills for some hiking. There is a stone path that runs 2/3 way up the mountain looking down on town...nice, with benches and a wooden railing. Gorgeous views looking down on the town sprawling across the valley and up to the snow capped peaks above. I kept thinking of Bilbo´s line from¨lord of the rings¨: "I want to see mountains, Gandalf -- MOUNTAINS..."

It was a wonderful day, sunshine and scenery. Next, I continued my tradition of dining in a pizza hut for lunch, then I took a bus to another village and repeated the whole process...uh, hiking and sightseeing, not pizza!

I made my nod at tasting Catalan cuisine by dining at a recommended restaurant. It was so-so. I swear that I´m not much of a gourmet, and should stick to simple food. Nourishment is all I crave, not subtle tastes...well, unless it is on a Tecia-led pizza quest!!!

Anyway, tomorrow I head to Barcelona. My experiences won´t be quite as...sensual...as Carisia´s, I´m sure. It´ll be neat, though, I can tell.

Take it easy all...more later!

speaking of pizza, Rob, do you work Monday night, or early Sunday? still might be overnighting in Detroit...
