I'm really stressing myself out here on figuring out where to go. I almost just wanna say forget it and go back home for this trip. I just can't decide where to go on this 2 week trip, to anywhere in the world. Flight's free, so it can be anywhere.

I just want: wild crazy adventure, outdoor stuff like hiking and snowboaring if possible, badass party, cheap. And it has to be out of the States and Europe, I've been there too much.

Any ideas? Really, if someone could just tell me where to go I'd be set, I'm tired of thinking. I've thought I was set on Thailand, but now I'm thinking how I'm not really a beach guy and would prefer a really mountainous country, I was thinking Australia, but I'd rather have a more unwesternized destination. Maybe snowboarding in India? But other than the snowboarding, would I have a great time there? And do the women there look good?

There's just too many options and I need someone to direct me. I'm up for anything, wild, exreme, dangerous, its all good.

i know it's not far away... but 2 weeks isn't that long...

here's a suggestion:

fly to vancouver... stay a night or 2, then head up to whistler for 5 nights... head to jasper through the mountians. stay in jasper for 2 night.... head to lake louise, it's one of the most beautiful drives ever... stay 2 nights... then hit banff... stay there for 2 or 3 nights... then hit calgary... fly home from calgary.

you'll have crazy parties everywhere you go, there's great riding... beautiful senery... and you'll see one of the most beautiful parts of canada... what else do you need?

If you want mountainous areas in non western countries youre looking at more of an adventure rather than having a relaxing/party vacation. Id spend a ski vacation in Switzerland if I were you, but thats right in the middle of Europe.

Don't freak out, dude. If you can go anywhere in the world, I say dust off your trusty globe and/or world atlas and pick something.

If you're dead-set that it can't be in the US or Europe and you MUST go snowboarding, well-- besides the obvious, which is CANADA, you could try a google search for ski resorts throughout the world. That's the only thing I can think of. North America and Europe pretty much have the market cornered on skiing and snowboarding!

NewZealand is supposed to be the best place in the world for adventure sports I have a freind who went there and thought it was the bees nees altogether.

I'd go on safari in Africa, go lookin at lions and giraffes or someit.

I was thinking of climbing Mt. Kilamanjaro but it looks like the hostel/social atmosphere would suck throughout the rest of the country. Since I'm goin alone, thats a requirement.

So what crazy mountains or rivers, or some sort of major outdoors adventure would also have the social atmosphere? Any of this in Thailand, other than just the beaches?

hahaha, i was just reading this thread thinking Cusco satisfies all of the criteria, so that's awsome that you've decided to go there. It has the Inca Trail, HEAPS of other adventure stuff you can do, an awsome party scene every night of the week, the women LOVE white guys (gringo hunters!!) and there's some pretty freakin hot ones that get about, and the hostels are wicked (stay at Loki hostel, it's one of the best i've ever stayed in, awsome party atmosphere)....so yeah, i think you've made the right choice, you'll have a blast!!!

Ahhhh yeah! . . . . . damn I can't wait. Now I just have to get the right leave dates, I was set to go on R&R in February, well the trail's closed in February so I'm trying to go late January or early March. (I'm in Iraq, this is my mid-tour leave, so the Army dictates the dates.) I sure hope the weather's good, that would suck to get rained on the whole time.

Its gonna be rough, cuz I need to acclimate myself when I get there, not party my ass off.

Ahh yeah . . . .

Well, make sure you book ATLEAST a month in advance, preferably more, it would suck ass to miss out. And give yourself a few days to get used to the altitude before going on the hike.

....and partying is the best way to acclimatize
