iv been working and going to school every day for so long now. sat and sun i wokr 10 hours each day. for the first time in my life, the winter got me depressed from the lack of sunlight. i used to be a total machine, i was always running around and being super active, but i feel so lazy. school is killing me , only 8 days left. after that, il work full time on the farm til the second to last week of july, which il take off and spend the time doing NOTHING. then il go to my job in yellowstone.

No, it only gets better from here. You are pretty much putting in 55 hour weeks and getting paid for 20 and treated like a kid. Even though responsibilities and expectations compound when you're done with high school you are the one that dictates your life. Congrats on your job in Yellowstone! Must be a relief to finally almost be over that hump. After the last couple of days, remember - home free!

yeah, the schooling world does get on top of you after a while, such long days and no pay cheque at the end of it, and so much stress. But it does get better, much better. When you get out into the real world you actually get paid for your work, and have regular working hours, and no homework, and weekends to do what you want. You'll get back into the swing of things in no time.

I hear ya bud...i did that last year.

I worked 9-5 and then I went to LSAT class from 6-9....got home at 10:30...rested for an hour and a half and then did it all over again. But then again, I did have weekends off.

Just soldier through it bud, and look toward the light.

And go on the T-punk boards more =)

I do understand, school does take its toll for sure. I remember some days during my last year of college where I would be in class all morning, studying all afternoon, go home and grab a bite to eat and then go to the school again to do some studio work or editing until 3 or 4 am. I sometimes just slept there!

But yet now, of course, 4 years after graduation...I ACTUALLY MISS SCHOOL!

Anyway it sounds weird and crazy and you may wanna punch me but enjoy it while it lasts. You may find yourself missing school sometime too.

And hey, good luck with Yellowstone, you will have a fantastic time!

Try some Zoloft. Better living thru chemistry, I always say! :D

Comparitively speaking, the last three weeks of school this past semester, this was my schedule:

Week 1:
Monday- 9-5
Tuesday 9-9
Wed- 10-7
Thursday: School from 8am to 8pm at the earliest, 11 pm at the latest
Friday: 9-11:30ish
Saturday: 12-11:30ish
Sunday: off

Week 2 (identical schedule, sorta.)
Monday: 9-7
Tues: 9-10
Wed:9-10
Thursday: 8am-noon for school, then work from there until about 11:30pm (we had a restaurant assoc. gala we were provided food for. I've never seen so much veal before in my life!)
Friday: 10-11:30
Saturday 12-11:30

Week Three:
Sunday- 9-8:30 (mom's day)
Monday: 9-5
Tues 9-10
Wed 9-10
Thurs: 8am-7ish pm (3 final exams)
Friday: 9am-7 pm
Saturday: OFF!

So, lets calculate hours: TOO FUCKING MUCH.

So, I feel your pain. May I suggest something synthetic to take the edge off? :D

^In BC we finish highschool in June. So the graduates are either 17 or 18, depending on their birthday.

Yeah I too feel burned out at times. Right now I'm working 11 hour days, but by the time i get to work it's more like a 13 hour day. However I cant complain, cuz in Melbourne I worked 16 hour days. Did 8am-12am. It was insane. And I worked that 6 days a week. Yes I went a little crazy...But I work hard, so I can have traveling money so I guess it all works in the long run.
