Hey, welcome to the boards! I think Morocco is great, but you will definitely need to branch out. As a rule of thumb, Western EU tends to be pretty expensive, but what about Eastern EU? Check out Czech Republic (Prague!), Poland (Warsaw, Krakow, etc)... Hungary (Budapest is AWESOME!), etc... What is your budget looking like, we might be able to give you a better idea!

If you are in Eastern Europe don't forget about Croatia and Slovenia which have beautiful scenery, and are pretty cheap still.

Chefchaouen is situated in the heart of the Rif Mountains in Morocco. Chefchaouen is relaxed, affordable housing and, above all, quite amazing to see. The streets and most buildings in the old part of town are painted a bright blue sky. The mountains can be seen at the end of paved road are robust and majestic. Light Mountain Light adds a touch of magic to the place. Not surprisingly, Chefchaouen is a favorite destination for backpackers visiting Morocco (and not only the available supply of hashish). The main square of the medina is full of cafes and filled to the brim with locals and tourists mix easily. but there are several other countries in Africa for back travelers so you should consider one of African country

Have you checked into working for a hostel to extend your travels? There are all sorts of options for the young traveler to earn side money, just depends where you go.

Do you have any website with possibility of traveling/working? Or is it better to plan this once on the spot?

Default need to know

From Quebec, does that mean you speak French as well? If so that can help. Not a given or anything but it always helps to get the deals for small hotel rooms that most travellers don't get. I'm whiter than white but speak Spanish. Not only did it get me deals in Spain, but I don't have to worry as much about the stuff going on in Mexico and other places. Not the same obviously but speaking French would definitely help in Africa, west coast for sure.
Other than that I would recommend what I always recommend to new world travellers from North America, do at least one day in London or Paris. First of all its the cheapest flight from US or Canada. Second, the comfort you get from being in a strange place but being able to speak the language can not be quantified. It's huge! My first trip to Italy I landed in Venice and freaked out(totally not me) but now it's like a second home even though I've only been there twice.

Imagine worst case scenario- you can't find work on your travels. Your $3k Canadian will not last you 6-10 months.

Work more and save more before you go!
