So were having a heroes and villians party at the hostel I'm staying at on the weekend and I need help deciding who to be.
I would like to go as a female character that isn't wearing skintight/latex as i don't have the best of figures.
I'm almost tempted to go as daria.
does anyone have any ideas that could help me??

Hrmm.. we had a Supervillains party a while back.

I went as Dubya in a flightsuit. Some of the other folks around included Ming the Merciless (Flash Gordon), Mugatu (Zoolander), Dr. Evil (Austin Powers), General Zod (Superman), Zorg (5th Element), Kim Jong Il (Team America), way too many Agent Smiths (Matrix).

What about Janine Garafalo's character from Mystery Men - The Bowler?

female superheroines list from wiki.

list of villains (not sorted by sex) from wiki.

I don't have any specific suggestions, but maybe you can look around at those two lists and see if there's a character that jumps out at you.

Talking

How about this lovely 'ole lady?

A little green face paint, a green robe, a spiked headband and a torch...and you're done!

Nobody ask Voyd why Liberty should be portrayed as a villian...

It's a "Heroes" and "Villians" party, I think Lady Liberty would go in the first category for most. Maggie Thatcher, that's more open to debate! How 'bout the gal that killed the horrible thing at the end of Lord of the Rings? That's gotta be one of the best exchanges in recent film: "No man can kill me!" "I am no man!"

I made a knight's armour for my son out of a shimmery black dress (no one tell him, please!) with a hood that I found for a buck at a second hand store. Sewed a cross on the front, and bingo, Lithuanian superhero. Check out a second hand store near you, and see what your resources are. (Mine had a strange supply of sulwar kemises - strange because we were in Lithuania - not a large Indian population - which we've used to good effect for medieval princess costumes for the girls.) You never know what you might find. Bet you'd find a good Maggie Thatcher costume in any second hand store - somewhat ugly blue suit, clunky bag and shoes --- don't know about the hair, though...
