Homer's Tomb
Hey Nicole (Pinknic), I came across this pic and had forgot about it. Thought you might enjoy it.
And for those of you that didn't see this pic. This is the trail leading out to it. This is on Ios in the Greek Isles

That is really cool. Makes me want to read the Illiad again.

ahhhhhhhhh that is so awesome, thank you!!!! I own both the Illiad and the Odyssey, both by Homer (and the Aeneid, which is by Virgil), and the Odyssey is my favorite book of all time. Love love love Greek & Roman epics. When I get my new dog when I move home, I am naming her Penelope, after the queen, Odysseus' wife, in the book. HOLLA!
Thanks, that is so awesome. I really want to go check that out some day.

Yeah, it was pretty damn amazing. It took 45 minutes on 4wheelers to get to it, as it was on a very desolate area of the island. The views from there were just fucking breathtaking and unforgettable. So glad you enjoyed, and I love the name Penelope for your new pup.

Yeah if it wasn't early and the day, and the clause on the 4 wheeler agreement about no alcohol, we probably wouldn't of made it either. But it was so worth the trip. We actually spent about 6 hours out on those things and had a blast riding all over Ios.

All the greek Isles offer scoots and 4 wheelers. I think it was like $30 each for the entire day. All you need is a valid DL from your home state. We rented on Santorini and Ios.
Cheers

Wow, what an excellent deal. That would be such an amazing place to go too. Definitely a place I'll be looking at visiting next time I'm in Europe...
Are the flights to Greece still expensive? We couldn't find anything cheaper than 130 each way(from London). Didn't know if Ryan Air or Easyjet picked them up yet.
