when i lived in colorado I was on my own but I was working at a YMCA that provided housing and food so it wasnt all that rough. I am getting pretty excited about this adventure and like rob said if it doesnt work out I can run home and lick my wounded pride until the next unwise idea pops into my head!

Hey, as someone who's left and returned home to the 'rents no less than 3 times, I can tell you it was worth a shot at the breakaway each time. If you don't roll the dice, you can't win - glad to see you're going for it

You can do it Jake!

yay jake! I'm glad you're getting out of the parental hive. You've been very unhappy there, so I'm sure this will (eventually) work out to be a wise decision! That being said, parents are still parents... I'm sure they'll let you crawl back if you have to.

are you a desert rat too monsignor?*
used to be... I lived in Payson, Arizona (tiny little town in the mountains) and for several years in Phoenix (still have family all over Arizona) We used to run off to Flagstaff to get away from town alla time, so my info's a bit stale, but I really liked it.

Just wasn't too much work for my chosen profession there.

I live in the PNW now (although, oddly enough, i'm a desert rat for the next year or so)

Sometimes, ya gotta just take the plunge. Often, things work out despite your best efforts...

Ok I have been here in flag now a couple of days. It is snowing hardcore right now, freakin awesome. I missed the snow.

anyway I had a job interview today and it looks very promising. I am going in tomorrow to show them that I do know how to locksmith and then from the way it sounds I get my own truck and nextel and then am released to break into peoples houses and cars!

I will play holdem anyplace, anytime. Getting a game started at my buddies house. So I can get my fix instead of going to the casino all the time.

well flag fell through. It was a stupid, immature idea to begin with looking at it from a financial standpoint. It was a good month anyway though.

Aww, sorry to hear that Jake. But hey - at least you tried, right? You got another experience under your belt and have probably learned a thing or two from it, so nothing really lost, right? ('cept maybe some pride, but who needs too much of that anyway..)
