Hi there.... I'm 35 and will backpacking Europe for about a year starting in November or December of this year. I'll be starting in London and can't wait! Are there any 30-somethings out there doing the hiking thing as well?

We hang around the metamucil/fiber boards asking for advice about retirement homes and assisted living. And if we're lucky we remember what it was we were talking about to begin with. Wait, what?

Welcome!

I am another 30+'er. (God, I hate to have to say that ). You are never too old to backpack and explore the world. I see a lot of older people backpacking....especially around Asia. People in their 50's and 60's are not uncommon at all and I think that's great. enjoy your trip - you will likely be surprised at how many 'older' people you run into out there backpacking around.
