I'll be 73
I think that age sounds about right, I'd never want to live over 100

I ain't even gonna try it
That date would haunt me for....errrrr....the rest of my life
Besides, the closer that we got to that date, means the sooner that I'd have to find someone to take over this site. D'oh !

At age 125, Brazilian woman has good memory, loves to talk
March 4, 2005
BY STAN LEHMAN
SAO PAULO, Brazil -- An elderly woman living in a small, wooden shack in rural southern Brazil could be the world's oldest living woman, according to a Brazilian record-keeping organization.
Maria Olivia da Silva, who recently celebrated her 125th birthday, ''is definitely the oldest living woman in Brazil and possibly in the entire world,'' said Iolete Cadari, administrative director of RankBrasil, this country's equivalent to the Guinness World Records.
Da Silva's birth certificate shows she was born Feb. 28, 1880, in the city of Itapetininga, Sao Paulo state, Cadari said. She currently lives in the small town of Astorga, some 370 miles west of Sao Paulo in the state of Parana.
Outlived most of her kids
Laura McTurk, a spokeswoman for Guinness World Records in London, said by e-mail that the organization was researching its records for any information on da Silva. She said Guinness may have an official statement on Friday.
According to the Guinness World Records Web site, the world's oldest woman is 113-year-old Hendrikje Van Andel-Schipper, who was born June 29, 1890.
Da Silva, whom Cadari described as ''mentally sound and rational,'' was married twice and has outlived all but three of her 14 children -- four of them adopted.
''Her memory is impressive and she loves to talk,'' Cadari said, adding that da Silva lives with her 58-year-old adopted son, Aparecido H. Silva.

I too want to live forever, as long as I'm one of those little old ladies like my next door neighbor, who is 97 and still lives on her own and drives a car. Yes, the last part is scary, but still! According to my "death clock" checkout time, I'll be 102.

can you imagine what that DeSilva lady has experienced in her life time?? Wow.
Invention and progression of the automobile and airplane. Space travel, TV's, 2 world wars, she was in her 30's when the Titanic sunk, computers, internet, phones.....jeeeeeezus. When you think about how much the world has changed in the last 125 years its amazing that one person could be around for it all.

Actually, it sounds like she probably hasn't experienced much change at all living in a shack out in the woods. Do you think she even has TV?? That's probably the only way to mentally handle living so long......jeez. Just imagine.
I die at 74 too.
Hmmm.......but that BMI thing is a crock of shit....that's no measure of health.
Anyway......soon we will be able to grow a nice clone of ourselves, get rid of all the bad genetic baggage we might have inherited from our parents, and transfer our memories so we will be all set for another 80 years!!

Yeah, especially when some extremely fit people-- because of the height vs weight proportion-- are considered to be "obese" according to their BMI.
