I agree that Tulum was awesome! But if you decide to have someone tell you about the history, don't get a tall, heavy-set mormon guy (unless you're really into mormonism) cause he'll try to convince you that Jesus is Quetzalcoatl and that the Native Americans are descended from Israelites who made it across the Mediterranean and the Atlantic in a wooden boat (nope, not ship. rowing boat.). it was interesting to hear, but i would have liked to not feel like I was hearing a sermon if we were going to have a guide...
Other than that... Isla Mujeres was also awesome! It's north of Cancun, I believe. And we did it as a day trip... good memories... That was the first time I took tequila shots and got drunk with my parents...

OK, Super Stoked now! 
The backpack is packed & the arrangements have been made. Worldwidemike is dropping me off at the airport on his way to work in the morning. It's odd, when I used to take an early flight I'd go in with him & he'd see me off at the gate. Now, I'll just get dropped off at the front door like everybody else. 
The past week has been HORRENDOUS trying to get loose ends tied up at work. I couldn't really get excited about the trip until today. But now, I can't wait to hit the road.
