Amaaaazing Summer!
Hey Y'all! (i've always wanted to say that lol)
This is kind of a random post but I just booked TWO plane tickets today and I am psyched on life/wanted to share it with you! I haven't really posted anything solid on here in a while about my life but here are my plans for this summer-it is going to be unbelievable. I have never traveled to so many completely un-related places in a summer before. Should be good.
1. Completely non-travel related, but the last weekend of April I am FINALLY going to climb outdoors! I've been climbing pretty steadily (aka 3X/wk) the past 8 months in gyms and I'm definitely ready. I'm taking a top-roping class so I will be able to make my own climb anywhere...that, to me, is amazing.
2. I'm taking 2 biology field courses this summer for school.
a) The first is a dolphin & whale conservation course in Taiwan for 2 weeks in May and then I am just traveling around the country for about a week 1/2 (Yes, Bo and I will be having the first Taiwanese meetup! Of course anyone else who might be in the area on May 21 is welcome to come as well...)
b ) the second is an alpine ecology course in the mountains of Alberta! in August (I've never actually been IN the rockies before- SWEET!)
3. Due to this air Canada sale yesterday, I will also be going to Newfoundland for the first time in June. 4 days with a rental car....I'll just be driving around and seeing the sights. I want to see glaciers! The best part is that my friend came over to talk today, I told her about NL and by the end of our conversation we were booking her ticket. Haha I love her.
4. I'm doing RAGBRAI for the first time this year. My friend from Iowa invited me to do it earlier in the year, and I finally conceded/bought my ticket today! Schweet! Not only do I get to hang with one of my fav people from South Africa, but I get to kill myself on a 450 mile, 7 day bike race....wait a sec...what was that last part?  
... just kidding, it's going to be awesome! I just have to start training soon... 
I love life!
The best part is that a good chunk of these travels are going to be funded by my good ol government. I filed my taxes for the first time ever (I know...) this week. As I've been working for 7 years, this is something I decided I should finally do and now Im getting a pretty penny from the government. I love Canada and I LOVE TAXES!

Thats great!! I'm so jealous!! I am also thinking of taking a trip to good ole NL as i'm thinking of transferring to Memorial there.

HAHA Thats great. Though I cannot believe that you havent done taxes in 7 years!! and you still get money back!? wow. good on ya. yeah i to was totally perving the air canada sale...but no cigar. Well cheers to your awesome summer chica!
