U.s.a
Hi Guys,
I’m just hoping for some advice really, some pointers, things I’ve missed, legal ramifications I should be aware of etc, so here it goes…
I’m 23, male, from Leeds (England) and I’m looking to go to part of the USA for three weeks (I can’t afford any longer unfortunately). My plan is in it’s infancy at the moment, but this is what I’ve got so far:
- Set off around this time next year (late September), flying to New York.
- Stay in NYC for 5 days.
- Boston staying for 3 days.
- Buffalo staying for 3 days.
- Cleveland for 1 day.
- Washington staying for 3 days.
- Philadelphia staying for 2 days.
- Atlantic City for 1 day.
- Back to New York for 3 days.
For accommodation I’m going to use Hostels, and I’ll be travelling from city to city via train - I’ve seen that AMTRAK do 15 day tickets for around $390.
My ‘Must Do’s’ are: Empire State Building and general sight seeing in NYC; Samuel Adams Brewery in Boston; catch a NFL game in Buffalo or Cleveland; Niagara Falls; White House etc in Washington; run up the Rocky steps in Philly lol; go for a gamble in Atlantic City. That’s the first draft anyway. I quite like architecture and history, so I’ll be walking around most cities seeing as much as I can. Are there any ‘must do’s’ I’m unaware of? As an Englishman, I like a good drink, so any great pubs/bars to visit would be good, good museums (preferably not about defeating the British!), generally places where I can get a good sense of America.
Cheers,
Sam.
