---begin cheesiness---

I know this comes up every now and then, and Im re-treading old ground. But I cant help it really.

I've been on here for ages and ages, sometimes more than others. Tony, thank you so much for dreaming this place up and making it happen. You've encouraged me so much to travel, to explore, to make wistful daydreams reality and catch hold of it with both hands without looking back. You and travelpunk.com really inspire me to put myself out there, to want more, to TRY. That's the most important thing.
There's so many wonderful people here, those I know very well, those not so well. I'm glad there's a place where those of us with weirdo, nomadic notions can get together and not feel so out of it. I'm glad we can swap ideas and tips, beg for advice, share our experiences with people who can understand, laugh, and learn from our mistakes. I never cease to be amazed at the knowledge and maturity represented here on the whole. When anyone I know starts to talk to me about a trip they're planning, I invariably point them here and they get answers for everything they need and go on and on about what a cool place this is. Well, duh. Tpunk is such an amazing resource, mainly because you're all just so damn awesome.
Mostly I'm eternally grateful for the friendships I've made, both with people I've actually met and those I havent met yet but undoubtedly will in the future. You're priceless really. I know I can come to travelpunk and get answers, help, or a shoulder to cry on. Thats more than I can say for a lot of my real life relationships.

Anyway I'm just glowy and really love y'all. I hope that I help out as much as Ive been helped. Thank you.

---end cheesiness---

Just to think, had Tony never acted on his desire/dream, there are so many people here who never would have met, never would have traveled, never would have gone to (insert place here). One person made that much of a difference in so many people's lives. Imagine what we can all do if we follow our hearts.

I was already feeling appreciation for this community...but, it wasn't until the Baltimore meetup that I really started to feel the love . I look forward to meeting more of you crazy cool tpunks!

Very nice speech Steph.

I agree... thanks to Tony, and those who have worked with him, so many have been able to follow their dreams of travel, and finding friends. Such a great site, filled with positive energy!

I'll drink to that!

I can't tell you how much this group has helped me planning this trip, and really solidified my travel bug infection. Thanks Tony, and everyone, for making me see that travel like this really does happen; that I don't need to sit back and listen to others' stories.

OMG, sweetie-pie . What a beautiful speech ! Wow!

Folks, Steph is a very inspirational person to me (and I'm sure to all of you)because, in addition to being a Tpunk hottie , when she makes a decision, she puts her blinders on (like a race horse) and takes action on her decisions staying completely focused and committed to achieving her goal...no matter what stumbling blocks may lie ahead.

From living in Morroco, to coming back home to go to school, then quitting school for a bit to live abroad in the UK for the experience, then coming back home, and recently traveling to Australia for a couple of weeks, man that's more accomplished in the past few years than most people on these boards have done their whole lives!

She talks the talk and more importantly walks the walk . Annnnnnnnnnduh, she's uber intelligent to boot !

I am grateful that YOU found these boards, babe! Can you guys even imagine these boards without, belle ?!!

And, really, thank you all for your kind words and support . Many of you have been sooo instrumental in growing and maintaining our family by holding each other accountable, encouraging others, motivating and inspiring thousands and thousands of sets of eyeballs that peruse these boards, you've been generous with your time in reaching out to others and lending a helping hand, you've been sooo accommodating with your stories/tips/advice and resources to help other feel more comfortable and even sharing your home with others....

Man, you all inspire me and I thank you for continually doing your part in enlightening others. Pay it forward...always.

As long as I'm around, this community will continually fly at the same highly energized proactive and positive altitude and attitude that it was founded on.

We will always welcome anyone and everyone who is willing to genuinely adhere to that simple policy, and it is only then that we can begin to cultivate wondrous relationships by learning to build upon our trust and respect for each other.

So lurkers, leave the negativity at the door, take off your shoes and enter our house....come just as you are, baby. .
