Hi all,
In a moment of alcoholic passion, I decided I want to try absinthe while in Europe this coming year-- has anyone had much experience with it? Anyone tried the new absinthes coming onto the market? Is there a particular country that is more discerning with regards to it, or where the best stuff comes from? Just curious. :) |
Good stuff
I believe the Czech Republic and Slovakia are well stocked up with Absinthe. It's some strong stuff! Kinda feels like taking a shot of gasoline, only tastier ;) Had some Slovakian roommates in Spain, that really loved the stuff. Needless to say, I had I filled my shot quota everytime they cracked open the bottle :stoked: |
See post here. -_-

I've had absinthe before. I had it in wales. In the basement of a hostel. I didn't know what it was at the time (hadn't heard of it before then) All i remember (since i was already slightly drunk) was this welshman lit it on fire with some sugar and then you took a shot of it. It basically felt like you were swallowing a big fire ball. I don't know if that's how you normally drink/shoot it. Theres absinthe here now in the liquor stores. Haven't tried it since though.
