Well I have really been doing what I can to make myself settled here in the DR. I was sick and tired of asking for rides from my friends, especially coming from Canada where I had my own car and independence.

Anyway, so the first good deal that came around, I took it. A friend was wanting to sell his car and gave me a great deal for it.

So what if it is a boat of a car...and way bigger than any object I have ever operated before!! It has four tires and will get me where I need to go...

FUN SHIT!

Good times Benna! I hated not having a car, even living in a city with public transportation. Hey, boat or no boat, it gets ya where you need to go, plus you're in the DR!

Oh, man, my husband bought a 1972 Cadillac in Korea, it was bigger than our apartment. I tried to drive it once, but the seat didn't adjust anymore, and I couldn't reach the pedals. I felt like I was 5 years old, feet dangling in space.

Good on ya, Benna!

Since I'm a car nut, I couldn't handle not having transportation, especially in another country. Hope you enjoy your new wheels, and the freedom that comes with a car!
