Ahhhh its that time of the year again. Anybody on here going to be off anything for the period?
Im off the fags and booze as of midnight tonight, always good to clean out the system.
Only downside is ill be a moody wee fella for the next month or so :greenguy:

Well now i'm an Irish Catholic, but i figure why lose something?, i damn near lost the contents of my stomach cos i ate so many damn pancakes  !!!
So this lent, i'm not going off anything, i'm thinking, i'm gonna smoke 40 a da  , i'm going on men  and i'm gonna drink at least a bottle of vodka a day......good hey!!! 
I'll prob die before the 6 weeks, but at least i found my limits......lmao

i think this lent i will try giving up on taking taxis to and from work. except for when its 2am and theres no buses. and I'll cut down on my pot intake .

My eldest daughter has decided only to read books she hasn't already. (sounds strange, but we have a couple of very well thumbed volumes on our shelves.)
The second one, in an astounding act of sacrifice, is forgoing candy. My husband and I are in shock.
The other ones are too small to care.
For me, wasting my time on the computer. Oops, gotta go!

In my current path of spirituality, Lent is not something that is observed...so I'm not giving up anything, per se.
I do have to say...why the hell would you go get the sign of the cross in ash on your forehead and then still leave it on when you go to the bar!? I saw more than once person last night with ashes on their forehead!

I completely forgot it was Ash Wednesday yesterday, had a customer come in and I told em they had a big blotch of toner on their forehead (it's an occupational hazard, I manage a Kinkos)
- boy was I embarrassed...
