Hey all-

So here I am in New England, which is currently being walloped by two, count 'em, TWO snowstorms, and because I work in a small mall that is more worried about money than legal liability, at work. It's supposed to approach blizzard conditions by 1 PM today, and because I don't want any of my employees hurt, I told them to stay at home. So for as long as the mall decides to stay open with no customers, I'm stuck here. Thank god I brought my laptop. I'm relaxing to Stevie Wonder MP3s, but I'd MUCH rather be at home in bed or watching a movie or something. Work sucks.

Heheheh! I can't believe how snowstorms affect people...Out here, we're so used to it that it gets boring! We miss school about 2-3 time/winter, when autobus get stuck in the snow Good idea to tell your employees not to come at work!!! :D

Heh, well I would say that people here are pretty used to snowstorms too, but it's the first one of the year, and the plowing is nonexistant so far.

I did just get a phone call from a guy who wants to come in and buy something to let him pass his drug test.

I always love the people that want to buy beer during some type of extreme weather.

It's so sad poor Okanagan is getting warm and sunny again...well not warm...but the snow has melted!
We used to get some rather nasty storms but in the past two years the snow has kinda become a come and go come and go thing. The wind is killer though, and you wouldn't think with the rockies and the coquilhalla surrounding us. Arctic winds, they say Then we hear on the news poor London (Ontario) complaining about hats being blown off heads! People were almost falling over one day here (myself included, how embarassing). Buck up London! Er, I think it was London...sorry London!
ANYWAY, iamlindoro, why don'tcha run down to the TV dept. and plug in a mujumbo flat screem (or if you were me, the classic cruved style, cause they're better) and watch somethin'?

I wish i was stuck in a snowstorm, not for long maybe just a couple hours, Ive never seen snow, though we did get fluries back in 1989 but that hardly counts. but like sujuki said when bad weather comes just get drunk, hurricane parties are pretty popular in the summer here I always figure maybe some dumb girl will believe this could be our last night on earth..... well not really but anyway good luck with the storm wish I was there.

LOL!

"Oh baby, this could be our last night on earth, and I'm just so scared I could die a virgin..."

"Oh my god, you poor thing! Come here..."

Well, around 2 o clock when they declared state of emergency, They closed the mall and I was able to close my store. That was great until I got home and spent two hours digging my car back *in* to my driveway, ha!

But at least I'm home now and had a good nap.

WWM,
If you are interested at all it is about 30ºF here in detroit, gloomy and depressing. I decided to head over to the other side of the city to check out the Circuit City and see what kind of cd's they had. I then ventured south to see what was going on there. Still dark and gloomy. So with my adventurous day coming to a close I have decided to return back to home base to relax and plan my next exciting day. :D Anyone jealous?

Good to hear you are having fun man.

Heheh! Lucky you WWM!

Well, out here, its 22F with winds up to 35mph...Should go down to 10F in the night and tomorow with blowing snow...Even my husky dog doesn't want to go outside! But I don't care since I'm trapped here to study.

And here I was laughing at New England's bad luck yesterday, oblivious to the fact that the very same storm system would be walloping my neck of the woods today.
