Remember this ? A few months ago, a journalist had contacted me after having done researches on the net, and having found me here. This lady, a free lance journalist, was writing an article about three women who take a career break to fulfill a dream. One of them is... atchoum !

So, here's the update. This article is supposed to be published in the June edition of Chatelaine. A photographer should come to my place some time this winter.

I don't know wether to be excited about it, or not... It is rather strange having a paper written about you, and published ! I guess that my main concern is that it will inspire others (not only women) to also go ahead and live their life, not the one that is expected from society. Still, I feel uncomfortable...

Beth, Chatelaine is a canadian magazine for women, well-known here, edited both in english and french. It exists since the 50s I believe. Is there a place where you can grab international press ? If not, I could send you one copy... autographed ! :blink: :lol:

Esther, I honestly think you should be proud. I know I was inspired by your decision to put your career aside and take your trip. Maybe it's the fact that you're closer to my age (but still younger, of course!), and that is something that you may expect of someone in their 20s, but not necessarily our age!

So, you ARE worthy of having an article about you published, and I can't wait to read it. And I'll take my autographed copy in person, thank you! :wub:

Another update on the article !

I just had a conversation with Chatelaine Magazine one minute ago. They called to get my approval on infos included in the women' career break article. The journalist did a clean job, and didn't change a thing. They said it is still due for the June edition, so available mid-May. :worship:

Make sure it has little lipstick imprints on it, too, willya? Can't wait to read it. I'm being 100% honest when I tell you that I find YOU an inspiration, Esther. So many people who get past their 20s get "locked into" their lifestyle, and to chuck it all to go travel around the world while in your later 30s like you did, well, I admire that, my friend. :wub:
