List away kids, List away.

Personally I have read the whole bible including the apocrypha, the book of mormon, the Bhagavad Gita, the tao te ching, the torah, the book of mormon, the qu'ran, several books by Thich Nhat Hanh, and unfortunately I can not remember ever reading any of confucius' stuff... I will have to get on that.

So far, just the Tao Te Ching and several Buddhist sutras. The Vedas might be next on the list.

I read the Quran, the Bible (several forms, including Hebrew Torah, etc) the Vedas, Upanisads the Tao Te Ching and several others while at University - alas I studied world religions and didn't want to do it half ass - I guess I am a dork

Hmmm... never read any of them. I have a very basic understanding of a lot of religions but personally don't follow any of them.

0. I am quite the NON-religious person. People can believe whatever they want, but do not try to push anything on me or be prepared for some never-before-seen verbal wrath. With that said I try to learn a little about religions of places that I visit so that I do not unkowingly step on some toes. That's about it for me.

Knowledge is power eh?

I found that after reading the Qu'ran I had a WAY better understanding of the signafigance of alot of things going on around the muslim world than anyone around here.

I'll eventually read the Quran and Bible and some of the other stuff. I got really relaxed and mellow while reading the Tao Te Ching and I started to love nature, maybe a little TOO much. It took the doctors about two hours to get the branch out.

Yes, I'm notorious for giving too much information in a disgusting yet humourous way.

read some of the bible and some of the qu'ran, lots of eastern stuff. it’s funny by the poll you would think this group is all Asian oriented, but I bet is just a bunch of hippies. just been talking about the qu'ran in class and my professor said that it was never intended to be translated out of Arabic, he says it loses a lot in its English translation, just like all of them.

Part of the reason the araic language has survived intact for so many years was because of the sanctity of the qu'aranic language. Sometimes in arabic class when we're being a bit too outspoken and rowdy my prof with slam his hands down on the table and shout "Children! You should be more serious! This is the language of the Lord!" with a twinkle and a grin.. heheh..

Ive read the OT, the NT, The Bible, The Catholic Bible, The Torah, most of the Qu'aran and the book of mormon.. Far Eastern thought never really appealed to me...

some would say tradition is religion by it's very definition.

closest thing that i've ever read to a religious book is Sidhartha by Herman Hesse. (weren't we talking about this on AIM last night jake?) i read the few required bible reading in my confirmation class back when i was innocent and under mum's wing, but now i'd call myself an agnostic. i like learning about religion because i think it's interesting, but i really don't believe in any of it.

who said this?

religion is probably the hardest thing to define in the world,

Max Weber had the right idea, dont bother defining it, just look at its affect and role.

Not usually, but if you want, I'll add some puppies and bunny rabbits for you (but I can't draw).
