I was in Kabul in 1972, all we did was sit onthe porch of our hostel or hang at the bus and smoke hash, if we were hungry we would go to the market square and buy the best fresh food ever, I wish I had contacts with some of those people, we might have stayed stoned most of the day but the times were great. I finally eneded up back in europe , buying eurorail pases on the black market and playing jet setter. In those days you could get on the trains as often as you wanted , with a eurorail pass. we would play in spain , then sleep on the train and wake up in Italy and then sleep the next nite on the way to paris or , well , you get the picture! A hotel room was a a luxury that was shared by everone you met for showers etc. sometimes you would never know whose room it really was , just heard from someone who knew some one who had a room with a shower, those were the days you did your sox and clothes right in the shower and then were all set for another nite on the train with new friends, ready to go some place new, again. I stretched what started as a two month eurorail excursion into an 18 month life altering experience. You could buy fake rail passes for like $25. ! If you were really desperate for a room or a shower you could just go to a university and meet a local who would take you back to his or her dorm for a good nites rest , clean up or just a good high! We hippies had a good thing going on, I wish it could have go on for more generations. Assholes like charlie manson, pretty much killed the free love, hippie life style or it just faded away with responsibilities, I am not sure which, but, either way, it was a loss to the world, My heart smiles when I see a young kid with long hair or a girl with no bra and bells on her ankles dancing in the sun. THE BEST PLACE TO RELIVE THOSE DAYS IS BURNINGMAN! GO to www.burninman.com and come live a money , worry and hastle free life for a week!

In times like these what with aids and std's unprotected sex is a real no no
But i know in the heat of the moment, too much alcohol etc it can happen, if i got pregnant i head home, but man would i suffer this is a small town and i'd go down in history as the girl who had a one night stand and got preggies and doesn't know the father, i wouldn't be able to leave the house without a disguise

I'm going to amend my former statement about whether or not I would let a guy know if I got pregnant: Yes, I would-- IF it didn't take extreme stalker-like measures to track him down. Whether or not I would want him to help out in any way is a different story and would depend entirely on the person and the situation.

HI Bookofkels!
At least if it happened ( I'm sure it wont, you are careful)but , if it did , you could at least say it was a one niter in Paris or wherever great pl;ace you are traveling too! That would set the lilttle ol ladies off on the gossiping! Better than under the willow, down at the town park, with a a one niter! Lol!
As for the other .. letting the father know... unless he was abusive or awful or something , you should try to let him into the child's life. I know I would have loved to know my first daughter!!!
Happy Trails!

Hmmm...i reckon if i got a girl preggas from a one nighter i would want to know....maybe....maybe not....don't know, it's a pretty scary thought. That's it, no sex for me on my trip....ok, that's a bit drastic, i think i'll just be a very careful boy . Right, after all that i've concluded that i have no idea whether i'd wanna know or not. Glad i could provide some useful insight into this topic, i'll go now
