Yes it is true one of the History professors at my school has been fired because he is a member of the National Socialist Movement.
The school hasn't released any information but some of my buddies at the school newpaper dug this radio broadcast off NSM's website yesterday. The link below is to the NSM website. Some of the content of the show is very Nazi, use of certain words to describe students of color. I assure you that neither Travelpunk or myself agree with this type of hatred. (Disclaimer is my duty as a mod)
Prof. Pluss Broadcast
Click the first link on the page and scroll to about 16 minutes into the show. The conversation takes a turn for the worse around minute 26.
I'm worried about Nazi protests on my campus now. Have to take 'em out.

But hey, FDU gave Illinois a hell of a battle in the first round of the NCAA's.

yeah congrats on making the tourney, good thing the players didn't let their Nazi history teacher distract them from the important things in life

Ugh.. well, I can't say the guy doesn't have a right to his opinions (you can be a hippie or a fascist, it's your right to be lame if you want) but when it mixes with education...

It's probably the fake Hitler mustache he'd glued on under his nose.

I never listened to anything my professors said in college anyway, and if I did, it probably would have sounded fascist through the haze of my hangover.

My friend, who's African American, has been in like 4 of Pluss' courses. That was his favorite teacher, he cried when he heard the broadcast.
I think he should keep his job, I mean it's like the First Admendment...yeah. And from what I hear he was an awesome teacher. Oh well.

I can't stand Nazis, but I wonder if he would have been fired if it "came out" that he was a member of the Communist party? I mean, what about that loser of a Prof from Colorado (I think?), who spouts that crap about America deserving 9-11 and all that? Is it okay to be an extremist on campus as long as you're a LEFT WING extremist? Just idle thoughts.
Like I said, I hate jack-booted, skinhead Nazi thugs and think their shiny domes should be used to field test police batons. It's not like they're using the heads for anything else, obviously...

^ that is definitely the most fired up I have seen Mike so far. Go with than man, it's fun to mix it up sometimes. Every great once in awhile I try to post something meaningful but I try not to do it too often.

yeah...it's a fine line when you start firing people for their political beliefs, but geez, trying to spread hate through education is not good....and yeah, when i was in my last semester i started to realize that half my profs had no idea what they were talking about. my one prof had a phd in law, and was teaching philosophy. his only education in philosophy was his undergrad degree, and he was teaching me about philosophy in my last semester?...come on man, i want a crazy old dude who sits in a cave for monts on end teaching me, not an equal in philosophic study....i wasn't there for law school. um...wow, sorry about the rant
